The Dixie Kids 4-H Club met March 2 in the basement of the Palmyra Church of Christ. There was a mixer before the meeting began with members finding out about each other. Also, members picked up their project material and 4-H manual for 2019-20 4-H year.

The meeting was called to order by Olivia Wise, the club’s vice president. Levi Weilbaker led the pledge to the American flag, and Chloe McCarty led the 4-H pledge.

Roll call was answered by members giving their spring break plans.

Club treasurer Levi Weilbaker reported a bank balance of $215.51 for the club.

Demonstrations were given by Gregory Circle, about the parts of a guitar, and Zöe Forster, about camera accessories.

McCarty gave a health-and-safety presentation about how to prevent getting the coronavirus.

Sophia Forster led a game called “Squeeze – what’s in the balloon?” and provided marshmallow refreshments.

Club refreshments were provided by Emma, Joshua and Sophie Gustin.

The next meeting was scheduled for April 6 at 6:30 p.m.
