In order to claim the out-right Southern Athletic Conference championship, Lanesville needed a road win Friday at Crothersville. The mission was accomplished with the Eagles winning 61-47.

Lanesville finished the conference season with a perfect 5-0 record. New Washington was second in the conference race with a 4-1 mark.

Against Crothersville on Friday, Connor Nolot scored 18 points and Tripp Dillion III added 16 points and finished the game with only one miss at the charity stripe. Dillion knocked down six of seven. Griffen Reynolds was the third Lanesville player in double figures with 10.

Lanesville jumped out early, building a 16-point lead off 11 first-quarter points from Nolot.

The Eagles turned the 16-point lead into a 40-21 advantage at intermission. In the second quarter, Ethan Schickel and Ashton Smith each hit three-pointers.

The Tigers tried to rally in the second half and, while they did win the third and fourth quarters, they only did so by a slim margin.

Lanesville closed out its regular season at home last night (Tuesday) against Austin.
