Clifford W. Gunther, 90, passed away Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, at Baptist Health Floyd hospital in New Albany, Ind.

He was born in Corydon, Ind., on Sept. 25, 1929, the son of Louis and Ethel Gehlbach Gunther.

He owned and operated Old Capital Printing Co. for almost 52 years. He was a member of Old Capitol United Methodist Church and American Legion Post 123 of Corydon. He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Max Eugene Gunther; and brothers, James Sr. and George Gunther.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sylvia (Dolly) Garmon Gunther; three brothers, Ronald Gunther (Laverne) of Jeffersonville, Ind., Phillip Gunther of Clarksville, Ind., and Earl Wayne Gunther of Corydon; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Wednesday, Feb. 19, from noon to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 20, after 11 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.

Funeral: Thursday, Feb. 20, at 1 p.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

Officiants: Brother Vince Garmon and Pastor Andy Hansen.

Pallbearers: Tony and Shawn Garmon, Scott and Tony Gunther, James Gunther Jr. and Mark Crosslin.

Honorary pallbearers: Gary Gunther, Kent Garmon, Mike Beanblossom, Kevin Harl, Max Martin and John Gunther.

The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the American Heart Association, 240 Whittington Parkway, Louisville, KY 40222.
