Title company opens Corydon location

WT&S Title LLC has opened a new title services office in Corydon in addition to its New Albany location.

“We saw (a branch in Corydon) as a good opportunity because there’s a lot of growth in Harrison and Crawford counties’ real estate markets,” said member and manager Denise Phelps.

Working alongside Phelps as the company’s two other members are attorneys Drew Hoffer and C. Allan Hoffer.

The firm, founded in 2002, provides professional title services in Southern Indiana and the Louisville metro area.

With a company slogan of “Your transaction just got easier,” WT&S Title offers a variety of title services.

“We do real estate closings for banks, individuals and commercial operations,” Phelps said.

WT&S Title also handles title searches, drafts title opinions and offers title insurance policies for lenders and homeowners.

“We have experience with manufactured home title processing in both Indiana and Kentucky and in closing construction loans and commercial transactions,” Phelps said.

WT&S Title also is able to draft contracts, powers of attorney, lien releases, assignments, affidavits and more.

Since opening the Corydon office in early January, Phelps said the team has been delighted with the pace of business and the welcome they received from the community. Specifically, she said the Chamber of Commerce of Harrison County has been a big help to the business.

“Being a part of the Chamber has been great,” she said. “They’ve been putting us in contact with all the right people. We’ve been blessed.”
