Lady Eagles win second straight SAC championship


The Lanesville Lady Eagles (17-2, 5-0) wrapped up their second consecutive unbeaten season in the Southern Athletic Conference with a 60-34 win over visiting Crothersville on Saturday.
Gracie Adams scored 13 points, and Linzie Wernert added 11 to lead the winning cause.
Lanesville, ranked fourth in this week’s Class 1A poll, opened a 31-18 lead by halftime and steadily pulled away in the second half to notch its 13th straight win.
The Lady Eagles won their five league games this season by an average margin of 21.6 points per game.
