The Lanesville Lady Eagles rose from seventh to fourth in the Class A ranking and improved to 15-2 after two wins last week.

Lanesville won 41-22 last Thursday at Tell City and then cruised to an 88-24 win over Cannelton on Saturday afternoon.

In the win over Tell City, the game went back and forth with the two teams tied at 8 at the end of the first quarter and tied at 13 at halftime.

The Lady Eagles managed some breathing room in the third quarter with a defensive effort that held Tell City to just four points.

Offensively, Lanesville scored 12 points, led by six points by Gracie Adams, who finished the game with 15. Linzie Wernert tossed in four points for LHS during the third quarter, and Danielle Haire had three.

The Lady Eagles continued to pull away in the fourth quarter, outscoring Tell City 16-5 down the stretch.

Lanesville carried an 11-game winning streak  to the court last night (Tuesday) at home against South Central and will host Crothersville on Saturday.
