Karen S. Newkirk


Karen S. Williams Newkirk, 45, Marengo, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2019, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.
Born Oct. 2, 1974, in Corydon, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Vivian I. Dearborn Williams.
She was a former cashier in retail sales and a member of Tunnel Hill Free Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James C. Newkirk of Marengo; three sons, Ryan Hunt of Tell City and Kenneth Hunt and Tyler Newkirk, both of Marengo; four daughters, Lisa Ennis of Louisville, Georgia Hunt and Charity Newkirk, both of Marengo, and Traci Crecelius of English; three sisters, Charlotte Keith of Hardinsburg, Robin Lindsay of Corydon and Jeana Duzan of English; eight grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Dec. 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Milltown.
Funeral: Friday, Dec. 27, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with interment in the Cook-Tucker Cemetery near English.
Officiants: Pastors T.C. Baker and Doug Byrum.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the funeral home to help with the cost of funeral expenses.
