John D. Cook
John David (Jack) Cook, 75, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.
Born Oct. 31, 1944, in Louisville, he was the son of the late Rupert Clay Cook and Anna Louise Plumb Rodgers.
He was a former construction worker for Louisville Gas & Electric for 16 years, county manager for Farm Bureau at Martin County, a farmer, a member of Marengo Christian Church and Milltown Masonic Lodge No. 661 and was a 1963 First Hoosier Farmer for FFA.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Liso.
Survivors include two sons, Marty C. Cook (Lisa) of Lanesville and David W. Cook of Sellersburg; a brother, Don Cook (Betty) of Milltown; two sisters, Pat Beasley (Raymond) of English and Shirley Roggenkamp (Rusk) of Milltown; three grandchildren, Kyle and Riley Cook and Olivia Kaufer (Derrick); and also by Linda Cook.
Visitation: Friday, Dec. 6, from 2 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 7, after 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Milltown.
Masonic rites: Friday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. at the Milltown Masonic Lodge No. 661.
Funeral: Saturday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with interment in the Milltown Cemetery.
Officiant: Brother Jim Smith.
