Donald C. Bruner Sr.

Donald C. Bruner Sr., 85, Palmyra, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019.

Born Oct. 8, 1934, he was the son of the late Chester H. and Ellen C. Parr Bruner. He was a former truck driver for the old Wenning Packing Co., an over-the-road driver for Mayflower Trucking and retired from General Electric Co. in Louisville.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita; second wife, Joyce; two daughters, Catherin A. Esparza and Angela Fay (Angel) Smith Bruner; two grandchildren, Nicole Michelle Zimmerman and Michael A. Bruner; a great-granddaughter, Breahanna Rayn Lynch; and three sisters, Delores Hornocker, Doris Stevenson and Diane Miller.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan A. Bruner of Salem; five sons, Mike Bruner (Donna) of New Salisbury, Randall King (Erica) of Charlestown, James H. Bruner of Clarksville, Donald C. Bruner Jr. of Chicago and Herbert Bruner of Louisville; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Friday, Nov. 22, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 23, after 9 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.

Funeral: Saturday, Nov. 23, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Palmyra Cemetery.
