6th-grade Panthers play in Lucas Oil Stadium
The Corydon sixth-grade football team played in the Red Zone Games at Lucas Oil Stadium on Oct. 13. Playing on the same field as the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts, the Panthers played four “Red Zone Games” where the ball started 20 yards from the end zone. As a team, Corydon put together a 3-1 record, defeating Northeastern (Indiana) twice (25-21 and 14-7) and Bentonville (Arkansas) 21-7. The lone loss was to Eaton Rapids (Michigan) 14-7. Four different Panthers –– Jack Fessel, Jagg Stinson, Dane Naiman and Eli Rowland –– scored touchdowns. The team had one week of practice together running a new two-minute offense. Team members are Carson Crail, Spencer Fain, Jack Fessel, Lincoln Greene, Jackson Likes, Dane Naiman, Eli Rowland, Caleb Scott, Jagg Stinson, Justice Taborn, Kenny Ward, Noah Ward and Logan Young. Coaches are Brian Crail, Chad Naiman, Todd Stinson and Jimmy Ward.
