Volleyball players earn academic all-state honors via IHSVCA

Several volleyball players in the coverage area were named Academic All-state by the Indiana High School Volleyball Coaches Association.

Representing Corydon Central are Katie Fessel and Jessie Johnson. From North Harrison, Natalie Coomer and Zoe Akers were selections along with Floyd Central’s Elizabeth Kane. The Crawford County volleyball program saw Hylea Crandall and Jacie Kalk make the academic all-state list as well.

To be considered for the honor, student-athletes in volleyball must meet the criteria of the following: nominee’s coach be a member of the IHSVCA, nominee must be a senior and on the varsity roster, a minimum GPA of 3.5 is required and a minimum SAT score of 1,110 or ACT score of 24 is required.
