Julia Marie Mayfield, 91, Floyds Knobs, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019, at Harrison Springs Health Campus in Corydon.

Born Sept. 21, 1928, in Floyd County, she was the daughter of the late Ersehl Lee Sr. and Mabel Kitterman Long.
She was a 50-year member of the Hearth and Home Homemakers Club and a 70-year member of Tunnel Hill Christian Church in Edwardsville.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence M. Mayfield Sr.; a son, Lawrence Mayfield Jr.; two brothers, Erschel Long Jr. and Louis Long; and two sisters, Ruth Hussung Martin and Norma Timberlake.

Survivors include a daughter, Sue Ann Zink of Corydon; a brother, Wayne Long of Alabama; a sister, Wilma Polen of Clarksville; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown and Wednesday, Oct. 30 after 10 a.m. at Tunnel Hill Christian Church in Edwardsville.

Funeral: Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m. at the church with burial in the Edwardsville Cemetery.

Officiant: Pastor Becky Gibbons.
