James (Butch) Curts, 59, Laconia, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2019, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
He was born Aug. 2, 1960, in New Albany, to the late Joseph and Bertha Gertrude (Trudy) Anderson Curts Wiseman.
He was a retired carpenter and was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Laconia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Gloria Doyle.
Survivors include his wife, Deanna Crosier Curts; his brother, Jerry Hoagland of Jeffersonville; his sister, Sandy Hutchinson of Sullivan; and his loving nieces.
Visitation: Sunday, Oct. 20, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday, Oct. 21, after 9 a.m. Monday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Monday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Old Goshen Cemetery near Laconia.
Officiant: Father David Kocka.
Pallbearers: Bryan Williar, Jonathan Dorton, Wesley Smith, Rickman Carden, John Miller and Bob Kingsley.
