Elizabeth J. Woosley
Elizabeth (Betty) J. Curl Woosley, 78, Corydon, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.
Born Sept. 17, 1941, in Louisville, she was the daughter of the late William Randolph Sr. and Alberta Theresa Flaherty Curl.
She retired in February 1998 from AML Inc. commercial contractors, where she was a payroll clerk and employee benefits clerk, and was previously employed at Metallic Art Works Inc. in Louisville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Aubrey (Louis) Woosley; two brothers, Bill Jr. and Dickie Curl; and a sister, Karen Marie Curl.
Survivors include a son, Randy Brightman (Lisa) and a daughter, Angela Tomlinson (Dale), both of Corydon; three brothers, Rodney Curl (Pam), Roger Curl and Neil Curl (Paula), all of Louisville; six sisters, Mary Woolems (Joe) of Milltown, Annette Drury (Kenny) of Memphis and Linda Wheeler, Dorothy Fitzpatrick (Fitz), Pam Stevenson and Kathy Phillips (Jay), all of Louisville; five grandchildren, Jennifer Brightman Nale of Elizabeth, Nolan Brightman (Emily) of Georgetown, Nate and Kaylynne Hancock, both of Corydon, and Jayla Tomlinson of Lexington, Ky.; two great-grandchildren, Addy Nale and Palmer Brightman; and 18 nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Friday, Oct. 4, from 1 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 5, after 11 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Old Goshen Cemetery near Laconia.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Harrison County Animal Control Facility.
