Paul Albert Rowland, 86, Fredericksburg, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.

Born July 17, 1933, in Arthur, Tenn., he was the son of the late Wiley and Dora Brooks Rowland.

He worked both as a farmer and at Ford Motor Assembly Plant from which he was retired, was a member of Palmyra United Methodist Church and of the Masonic Lodge Blue River 457, Scottish Rite of Indianapolis 32nd degree and Salem Order of the Eastern Star 286 and was an Army veteran, having served in the Korean War.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Rowland and Tilmon Rowland, and two sisters, Willie Mae Tuttle and Charlene Roll.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, the former Wanda Lyles; a son, Greg Rowland; a daughter, Paula Spencer; two brothers, Jack and Carl Rowland; and six grandchildren.

Visitation: Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Oct. 2, after 9 a.m. at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra.

Funeral: Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with interment in Kay’s Chapel Cemetery near Fredericksburg.

The family suggests memorial gifts to a charity of the donor’s choice.
