Russel G. Bottles

Russel G. Bottles, 93, North Fort Myers, Fla., died Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at Hospice Care of Fort Myers, Fla.
Born in the New Amsterdam vicinity and later moving to a farm near the Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church, he was the son of Emory and Emma Bottles.
After serving in the U.S. Navy, stationed at Pearl Harbor, as an employee in the Fleet Maintenance Office, Russel returned to Corydon and was an employee of the A.W. Alstott & Sons Hardware for 20 years before moving to Indianapolis, where he and his wife, Josephine, were owners of Bottles Ace Hardware Store. He attended the Church of the Nazarene while living in Corydon, Indianapolis and Florida and served as secretary of the Harrison County Holiness Association for four years.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Josephine Alstott; a sister, Ruth; and two brothers, Harold and Keith.
Survivors include two sons, Nathan and Timothy, both of Fort Myers, Fla.
Funeral: Sunday, July 28, at 2 p.m. at the Fort Myers Church of the Nazarene with burial in the Fort Myers Cemetery.
