Thomas A. Sullivan, 80, New Salisbury, died Saturday, July 13, 2019.
Born March 6, 1939, at Louisville, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Schulten Sullivan.
He served in the Navy, was a former employee of Ford Motor Co. Kentucky Truck Plant, was the first EMT to work at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, was a former member of Georgetown Township Fire Dept. and Floyd County Arson Squad, was a former member and past master of Pythagoras Lodge in New Albany, was a member of Calvary Baptist Church at New Salisbury, Pisgah Lodge in Corydon, Scottish Rite of Evansville, York Rite in New Albany, the Commandry in New Albany and White Shrine and a member and past grand master of KYCH.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Speaker; a son, Dale Sullivan; and a grandson, Adam Bement.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, the former Clara Royalty; a daughter, Robin Arledge (Jared); three sons, Mark (Bonnie), Larry (Cheryl) and Terry (Christi) Sullivan; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, July 16, from 4 to 8 p.m., with Masonic rites at 7, and Wednesday, July 17, after 9 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Wednesday, July 17, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Wolfe Cemetery at Georgetown.
