Maurice Jay Wiley, 87, Crandall, died Sunday, July 7, 2019, at Harrison Healthcare Center in Corydon.
Born June 17, 1932, in Louisville, he was the son of the late Beverly Carodine Wiley and Addie Mabel Hedden Green.
He was retired from Hobart Service in Louisville and Tecumseh in Salem, was a member of Corydon Baptist Church and the Buechel Masonic Lodge No. 896 F&AM and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, William B., Kenny and Raymond C. Wiley, and two sisters, Katherine Burnham and Virginia Lee Holmes.
Survivors include his wife, the former Joan Blandford; a son, Darrell Maurice Wiley (Denise); two brothers, the Rev. Anton Wiley (Elizabeth) and Arnold Wiley (Linda); two sisters, Doris Davidson and Carolyn Maddock; and two grandchildren, Kendal Jayallen and Bethany Noelle Wiley.
Visitation: Wednesday, July 10, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, July 11, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville.
Officiant: Pastor Keith McWhorter.
Pallbearers: Chris Tucker, Joe Nichols, Kendal, Bob and Don Wiley, Tony Davidson, Tim Burke and Jim Brooks.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Corydon Baptist Church.
