Angela Elder, 52, Lanesville, died Sunday, April 28, 2019, at Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Louisville.
Born Dec. 31, 1966, in New Albany, she was the daughter of John and Nancy Fugit Walter of Lanesville.
She was employed at Norton Healthcare and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville.
Survivors besides her parents include her husband of 32 years, Mark Elder; a son, Thomas Elder of Lanesville; four daughters, Holly Elder of Louisville, Alexis Elder of North Carolina, and Pamela and Marissa Elder, both of Lanesville; five brothers, Tom (Jeanne), Jim (Mary) and Michael Walter (Brenda), all of Lanesville, Bobby Walter (Cindy) of Corydon and Tony Walter (Paula) of New Washington; three sisters, Denise Sanders (Jeff) of Corydon, Jo Anne Baker (Larry) of Lanesville and Diana Kerr (Doug) of Georgetown; two grandsons, Kaden Elder and Evan Green; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Tuesday, April 30, from noon to 8 p.m., with a rosary prayer service at 7:30, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, May 1, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville with burial in the church cemetery.
Officiant: Father Robert St. Martin.
