Mary J. McClanahan
Mary Jane McClanahan, 79, Corydon, died Monday, April 22, 2019, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.
Born Jan. 23, 1940, in Corydon, she was the daughter of the late Harold Harry and Mary Audra Boone Rainbolt.
She was a retired dispatcher at the Harrison County Sheriff’s Dept. in Corydon and a member of Community of Hope Church of the Nazarene in Corydon.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Allen McClanahan; a brother, Keith Rainbolt; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Davis.
Survivors include a son, Marty McClanahan (Debbie) of Corydon; three daughters, Alice Leffler (Steve) of Louisville, Leisa Bube (Jim) of Corydon and Carol Londak (Jason) of Louisville; a brother, Harold Albert Rainbolt (Tula) of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Martha Jean Davis of Union City, Mo., and Nina Rothrock (Dale) of Depauw; a sister-in-law, Barbara Rainbolt of Palmyra; nine grandchildren, Christian and Avi Leffler, Audrey Kochert (Dustin), Jacob McClanahan, Caitlin, Samuel and Isaac Bube and Keira and Athen Londak; and a great-grandson, Braxton Kochert.
Visitation: Thursday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and Friday, April 26, after 9 a.m. at Community of Hope Church of the Nazarene in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, April 26, at 11 a.m. at the church with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Richard Goodwin.
Pallbearers: Christian and Steve Leffler, Jacob and Jackie McClanahan, Jim Bube and Jason Londak.
Honorary pallbearers: Avi Leffler and Samuel and Isaac Bube.
The family suggests memorial gifts to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
