David N. Hendrich

David N. Hendrich, 71, Depauw, died Thursday, April 18, 2019.
Born Jan. 14, 1948, in New Albany, he was the son of Patricia Katherine Sanders Overton and the late Nelson William Hendrich.
He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, served with amphibious construction Sea Bees, a 20-year Navy Reservist, former owner and operator of Milltown Hardware Store, a driver for Davis Crushed Stone Co., a sawmill operator and a member of Milltown American Legion Post No. 332, Old State Capitol VFW Post No. 2950 in Corydon, United States Canoe Association, Indiana Paddlers and Thompson Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors besides his mother include his wife of 45 years, the former Marie Simon; a son, Andy D. Hendrich (Erica) of Lafayette; a daughter, Gina M. Thomas (Dan) of Scott Depot, W.Va.; two brothers: Marty Hendrich (Deborah) and Paul D. Hendrich (Anne), both of New Salisbury; and four grandchildren, Sylas, Eowyn and Max Thomas and Pepper Jo Hendrich.
Visitation: Monday, April 22, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, April 23, after 9 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Tuesday, April 23, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Thompson Chapel Cemetery.
