Mary J. Basham
Mary Jo Basham, 84, Corydon, died Monday, April 15, 2019, at her home.
Born Dec. 24, 1934, in Harrison County, she was the daughter of the late James Lewis and Dorothy Mae Paris Johnson.
She worked as a care giver and was a member of Old Capitol United Methodist Church in Corydon.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Basham; two sons, Robert McNabb and Virgil Riggs; and a daughter, Pamela Jo Eshelman.
Survivors include a son, Shawn Moser (Lisa) of Guston, Ky.; three daughters, Barbara Gauntlett (David) of Gold Beach, Ore., and Erwi Sue Eshelman and Virgilene Weatherly (Lawrence), both of Corydon; a sister, Elenora Gibbs of New Mexico; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, April 18, from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 20, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, April 20, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in the New Amsterdam Cemetery.
Officiants: Pastors Tim and Debbie Williams.
Pallbearers: Anthony and Damian Chandler, Jonathan Moser, Chuck Richards and Jackie and David Gauntlett.
