Darrell J. Litch, 74, Georgetown, died Thursday, April 4, 2019, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.
Born Dec. 6, 1944, in Harrison County, he was the son of the late Marvin J. Sr. and Alliene L. Brown Litch.
He was a 1962 graduate of Lanesville High School, served as reservist in the Indiana Air National Guard, retired in 2000 from Ford Motor Co., where he had worked the assembly line as a member of Local UAW 862 and was a member of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association, St Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville and Knights of Columbus.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald L. Litch and Marvin J. Litch Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, the former Pamela Cleveland; a son, Trevor Litch (Amanda) of Georgetown; two daughters, Maggie Happel and Sarah Barr (Jason), both of Georgetown; two sisters, Marlene Schneider of Lanesville and Rhonda Truman (Harry) of Louisville; nine grandchildren, Josh and Caleb Happel, Taylor, Coleman, Faith and Wyatt Litch and Lily, Harper and Monroe Barr; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Monday, April 8, from 2 to 8 p.m., with a rosary at 7:30, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Mass of Christian burial: Tuesday, April 9, at 11 a.m. at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville with burial in the church cemetery.
Officiant: Father Robert St. Martin.
