Bob F. Hoover
Bob F. Hoover, 86, Corydon, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at Wedgewood Healthcare Center in Clarksville.
Born July 10, 1932, in Gould, Ark., he was the son of the late Thomas and Madie Brashears Hoover.
He joined the Navy at the age of 17 and was a distinguished Navy pilot in the Korean War, a lifetime rancher and a retired executive engineer with AT&T. He flew for the government until his early 70s as a Yankee White Pilot and was a member of Lincoln Hills Christian Church in Corydon.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Hoover.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Hoover (Joyce) of Corydon and Dan Hoover (Robin) of Idaho; a daughter, Derenda Beard (Derick) of Redding, Calif.; a brother, Don Hoover (Imogene) of Denair, Calif.; a sister, Janice Holden of Modesto, Calif.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday, Feb. 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Heidelberg Cemetery near Corydon.
Officiant: Pastor Webster Oglesby.
