Philip J.P. Habermel
Philip James Patrick Habermel, 29, Palmyra, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2019, at his home.
Born Nov. 6, 1989, in Jeffersonville, he was the son of Vivian Elizabeth Habermel.
He was a lifelong resident of Harrison County and, after graduating high school, earned an associate degree in respiratory therapy from Ivy Tech Community College in Sellersburg. He was a former respiratory therapist at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville and was employed at Clean Water and Air Solutions in Georgetown.
He was preceded in death by Frank and Ovada Habermel and an uncle, Frank Habermel II.
Survivors include a sister, Stephanie Habermel (Daniel) of New Albany; an aunt, Patty Nelson (Mark) of Denver, Colo.; an uncle, Danny Habermel (Julie) of Salem; and cousins, Darin Habermel (Rachel) of Madison, Wis., and Morgan Habermel of Lexington, Ky.
Visitation: Saturday, Jan. 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 20, after 9 a.m. at Dawalt Funeral Home in Salem.
Funeral: Sunday, Jan. 20, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
