Gayle (Brenda) Avery, 63, Palmyra, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
Born Nov. 13, 1955, in Louisville, she was the daughter of the late Carlton and Ethel Harvey.
She worked as a support staff at Silver Crest Children’s Development Center in New Albany and for the former Butcher Boy Grocery store in Palmyra.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Singleton and Debbie Harvey, and a brother, Ricky Harvey.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Avery, three sons, Charles David Avery Jr., Troy Avery and Christopher Dewayne Avery; and four sisters, Carla Nevil, Lisa Tate, Diane Crawford and Missy McGee; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday, Jan. 20, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Monday, Jan. 21, after 9 a.m. at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra.
Funeral: Monday, Jan. 21, at noon at the funeral home with burial in Abundant Life Memorial Gardens in New Albany.
