Susan R. Phillips
Susan Renee Phillips, 56, New Middletown, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, in Corydon.
Born Sept. 6, 1962, in Corydon, she was an ordained Pentecostal minister, employed as a representative for Midwest Pets at Tractor Supply Co. and Feeders Supply, both in Corydon, active in the new Indian Creek Trail project in Corydon and a member and assistant pastor of Alpha and Omega Church in New Salisbury, where she also served as an outreach minister at the Blue River Services group home in Marengo, all the local Corydon nursing homes and at Harrison and Clark County jails and Branchville prison.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Steen, and grandparents, James and Willadean Wright and Ed and Jewel Steen.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Marc N. Phillips; her mother, Deanna Wright Brock (William) of New Middletown; and a brother, Kevin Steen (Pamela Schmelz) of New Middletown.
Visitation: Thursday, Dec. 20, from 3 to 8 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 21, after 11 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, Dec. 21, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Memorial Cemetery near Laconia.
Officiant: Brother Steve Arnold.
Pallbearers: Bill Best, Terry Brock, Davey Steen, Roger Faith, Mike Carter and Terry Carter.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Memorial Cemetery Fund.
