Warren A. Moses
Warren Alston Moses, 90, Corydon, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, at the Norton Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.
Born Aug. 25, 1928, in Jake, Ga., he was the son of the late James and Nellie Kate Banks Moses.
He was a graduate of West Georgia College and the University of Georgia, served in the Air Force Reserves from 1951 to 1952, retired from the Chevron Corp. after 38 years, remained active in the Louisville Chevron alumni club, was a long-time member of Corydon Presbyterian Church, where he was the chief bell ringer for Sunday services and flew a powered parachute, dropping candy to children and adults in Harrison County.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Nell Thomas; three sons, Alan, Bruce and Marion Moses; a brother, Robert Moses; and a sister, Martha Jackson.
Survivors include a sister, Sue Bloodworth (Larry); six grandchildren, Lindsey Ward (Jason), Ashley Matlock (Morgan Basham), Brandon, James and Jonathan Moses and Jacob Saldana; four great-grandchildren, Adely, Jakin and Sadie Ward and Blake Matlock; and two daughters-in-law, Donna and Miosotis Moses.
Memorial service: To take place at a later time at Corydon Presbyterian Church. Cremation was chosen and with remains to be buried in Douglasville, Ga., next to his wife and son, Alan.
