Harlan Ray Maymon, 93, Byrneville, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018.
Born Nov. 8, 1925, at Byrneville, he was the son of the late Virgil E. and Emma Myrtle Fouts Maymon.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, retired from Pillsbury in New Albany, a member of VFW Post No. 2950 in Corydon and American Legion Post No. 332 in Milltown and an elder and member of Community of Christ Church in Byrneville.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mildred M. Parr; two brothers, E. Leroy and Robert M. Maymon; and a sister, Irma L. Finn.
Survivors include three sons, Bobbie R. Maymon of Georgetown, Donald F. Maymon (Jamie) of Brooksville, Fla., and David W. Maymon (Lori) of New Albany; a brother, Irvin L. Maymon of Pittsboro; a sister, Doris Byrne of New Albany; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, Dec. 10, from 2 to 8 and Tuesday, Dec. 11, after 10 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Byrneville Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Kindred Hospice in Jeffersonville.
