Helen L. Richmer
Helen Lorene Mason Richmer, 86, Georgetown, died Saturday morning, Nov. 24, 2018, at the Villas of Guerin Woods.
Born Aug. 8, 1932, in Evans Landing, she was the daughter of the late F. Allan Mason and Elnora Fluhr Mason.
She was a homemaker, participated in the Senior Games, bowled on a senior league for many years, was a seamstress and was life-time member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lanesville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Coakley and Frances McCarty.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Wilbur; five sons, Michael (Bobbie), Donald (Debbie), David, Patrick and John (Lori); four daughters, Cheryl Bube Walther (Dale), Janice Richmer, Angela Galvez and Nancy Spainhour (Glenn); a sister, Elsie Mason; two brothers, Paul (Bud) Mason (Marylee) and James Mason (Benita); nine grandchildren, Jason Bube (Shelley), Nicholas Bube (Alexis Gaskell), Andrea Bube, Jennifer Spainhour Gordon (Scott), Katelyn Spainhour Wager (Chris), David Galvez, Daniel Galvez, Matthew Richmer (Samantha) and Alyssa Walther; two step-grandchildren, Steven Coogle and Jessica Schnellenberger; three great-grandsons, Evan Bube, Alexander Bube and Logan Bube; and four step-great-grandchildren, Westen and Paisley Schnellenberger and Ella and Riley Gaskell.
Visitation: Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 1 to 8 p.m., with the rosary prayed at 7, and Wednesday, Nov. 28, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Mass of Christian burial: Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lanesville with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lanesville.
The family suggests memorial gifts to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
