Marc Jay Smith, 69, Corydon, died Thursday, July 12, 2018, at his home.
Born Aug. 26, 1948, in New Albany, he was the son of the late Jay Franklin and Lydia Sartell Smith.
He was a retired project engineer with the Indiana Dept. of Transportation, a former employee of the railroad in Indianapolis and a member of Corydon United Methodist Church, the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Club and the Corydon Country Club.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Samuel Moore, and a brother-in-law, Danny Riddle.
Survivors include a daughter, Crystal E. Mack (Rob) of Carlisle, Ky.; a granddaughter, Elsa Louise Mack; two sisters, Sue Riddle of Corydon and JoRita Collins (Lonnie) of Shelby, N.C.; and a brother, Martin S. Smith (Deanna) of Peoria, Ill.
Visitation: Saturday, July 14, from 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday, July 15, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday, July 16, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Monday, July 16, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Jim Higdon.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Corydon United Methodist Church.
