Thurman Ray (Bill) Frank, 91, Corydon, died Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Cedar Court in Corydon.
Born Aug. 1, 1926, in Louisville, he was the son of the late Percy Ray Frank and Thelma Cleo Underwood.
He attended Ahrens Trade School to learn architectural drafting and entered the Navy on Nov. 4, 1944, at Great Lakes, Ill. He was assigned to the generator shack on Calicoan Island, Philippines. After the service, he learned to bend neon glass and sold building materials for many companies in Southern Indiana and Kentucky. He worked for Poe Lumber in Marengo, Chase Barlow and Kentucky Lumber.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William H. (Dub) Frank.
Survivors include his wife of 71 years, the former Mary Theresa Burch; three children, Donald Ray Frank (Lois), Ronald Lee Frank (Barbara) and Theresa Eiche (Ed); and five grandchildren, Nik, Ben, Lee, Richard and Michele.
Visitation: Friday, July 13, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home in Louisville.
Burial service: Saturday, July 14, at noon at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville.
