Bradley R. Prather
Bradley R. Prather, 70, New Salisbury, died Friday, May 11, 2018, at his home.
Born April 27, 1948, at LaGrange, Ga., he was the son of the late Bradley Ewing and Willie Pearl Wisener Prather.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the 82nd Airborne Division, was a retired records manager for the Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District, was a member of the National Rifle Association and was an honorary Kentucky Colonel.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Margie B. Prather, and a sister, Dorothy June Coleman.
Survivors include his wife, the former Anda L. Vann; a son, Ronald P. Prather (Dee) of Palmyra; a stepson, Shawn Thompson (Kiwi) New Albany; a stepdaughter, Sherrice Meek (Jerry) of Palmyra; a brother, Stephen Prather of Lake City, Fla.; a sister, Vicki P. Davis of Waycross, Ga.; six grandchildren, Derek Prather (Catherine) of Las Vegas, William R. and Logan W. Prather, both of Bradenton, Fla., and Steven A., Aaron J. and Andrew P. Silva, all of Palmyra; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin R. and Marcus H. Prather of Las Vegas; and a brother-in-law, Donald Vann.
Visitation: Wednesday, May 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, May 17, after 10 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Memorial service: Thursday, May 17, at 1 p.m. at the funeral with burial, and military rites, in Central Barren Cemetery.
