Carl C. Ott
Carl (Corky) Christian Ott, 85, Laconia, died Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Lincoln Hills Healthcare Center in New Albany.
Born July 5, 1932, in New Albany, he was the son of the late Herbert and Pearl Johnson Ott.
He was a truck driver for the former New Albany Concrete, now IMI, and a member of Teamster Union Local 89 in Louisville and Crandall Household of Faith Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Norma Jean Brown; a son, Darrell W. Ott; and two brothers, Kenny and Paul Rutherford.
Survivors include four sons, Gordon R. Ott (Rose) of Louisville, Larry E. Ott (Kathy) of New Albany, Douglas L. Ott (Delia) of Georgetown and Robert A. Ott of Floyds Knobs; two daughters, Wanda Bolen of Depauw and Vickie Mallory (Fred) of Sellersburg; two brothers, Ronnie Rutherford of Georgetown and David Rutherford of Corydon; a sister, Sharron Miller of Corydon; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday, May 8, from noon to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, May 9, after 10 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Funeral: Wednesday, May 9, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Wolfe Cemetery at Georgetown.
