Arthur G. Myers, 82, New Salisbury, died Monday, April 23, 2018, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.
Born April 10, 1936, in North Judson, he was the son of the late Frank J. and Hazel Nichols Myers.
He was the owner of M & M Cable Service, where he worked as a telephone company contractor, was the owner and operator of two farms in Washington and Corydon, was a member of Old Capitol United Methodist Church in Corydon, was a Master Mason with the Blue Lodge Chapter No. 461 and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 461, where he served three times as Worthy Patron both in Glendale, the Hadi Shrine and the Scottish Rite in Evansville and the Boots and Saddles horse club in Washington, was a former Boy Scout master in New Richmond and was a veteran of the Army Reserves.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Myers, and a sister, Julia Rodenbeck.
Survivors include his wife, the former Margaret Y. Robinson; a son, Keith A. Myers of Indianapolis; a daughter, Dawn K. Myers Wrinn (Allan) of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a brother, Howard Myers (Debbie) of Ogden, Utah; and three sisters, Joan Norem of New Carlisle, Harriet Kajer of North Judson and Janet Ackerman of San Pierre.
Visitation: Tuesday, April 24, from 3 to 8 p.m., with an Eastern Star service at 7, and Wednesday, April 25, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, April 25, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Graveside service: Wednesday, April 25, at 2 p.m. at the New Veale Creek Cemetery in Washington.
Officiant: The Rev. Andy Hansen.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Old Capitol United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
