Larry L. Boaz

Larry L. Boaz, 79, Floyd Knobs, died Friday, April 13, 2018, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.
Born June 20, 1938, in Greenville, he was the son of the late Gilmer and Nellie Hartman Boaz.
He was a graduate of Corydon Central High School, served in the Army from 1956 to 1958, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from the University of Louisville, was a supervisor for the Ford Motor Co. at the Louisville Fern Valley Road plant, where he worked for 32 years, and was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 416 in Greenville.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Peggy Sims; five brothers, Gladden, Keith (Jack), Mick, Elson (Fats) and Lamoine Boaz; and a sister, Delora (Dodie) Boaz.
Survivors include two sons, Bryant Boaz (Cindy) of Floyds Knobs and Aaron Boaz (Krista) of Greenville; two grandchildren, Tabatha Boaz and Christian Boaz; two great-grandchildren, Tristian and Lillian Winstead; a brother, Terry Boaz of Greenville; and a sister, Una Hartfield of Greenville.
Visitation : Thursday, April 19, from 4 to 8 p.m., with Masonic rites at 7:30, and Friday, April 20, after 9 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Memorial service: Friday, April 20, at 11 a.m., followed by military honors, at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hosparus of Southern Indiana or the WHAS Crusade for Children.
