Betty C. Burnett

Betty Cook Burnett, 87, Nevada, formerly of New Salisbury, died Friday, March 30, 2018, in Las Vegas.
Born July 7, 1930, in Athens, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Otis Cook and Ethel Deemer Cook.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, James, Earl, Otis Jr., Billy and George Cook; two sisters, Margret Williams and Peg Edelbrock; and a grandson, Christopher Bastin.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Paul; two daughters, Reta Meoli of Las Vegas and Diane Shane (Gene) of Meridian, Idaho; a son, John of Portland, Ore.; and two sisters, Judy Humprhreys of Clarksville,Tenn., and Nancy Mader (Gene) of Foley, Ala.
Arrangements with Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey, Ind.
Visitation: Friday, April 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 14, after 1 p.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Saturday, April 14, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery near Crandall followed by a reception at Calvary Baptist Church in New Salisbury. All friends and family are welcome.
