Jessie S. England

Jessie Samuel England, 69, Georgetown, died Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center of Louisville.
Born July 28, 1948, in Louisville, he was the son of the late Roy A. and Iva C. Grant England.
He worked at Louisville Ladder for 10 years then Vulcan-Hart for 10 years, was retired as a CNC operator at Manitowac and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville for 49 years.
Besides his parents, he was preceded by two brothers, Roy M. England and Joseph C. England.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, the former Patricia Emmons; a son, Joshua R. England of Georgetown; a brother, Jerry A. England (Anna) of Corydon;two grandchildren, Amy and Noah; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
Visitation: Tuesday, March 27, from 2 to 7:30 p.m., with a rosary prayer at 7:30, and Wednesday, March 28, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, March 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville with burial in the church cemetery.
Officiant: Father Robert St. Martin.
