James (Jay) Douglas, 75, Corydon, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville.
Born Jan. 15, 1943, in Warren County, Ky., he was the son of the late James Noel (Jim) Douglas and Mildred Welch Douglas.
He was a line maintenance machinist for Philip Morris in Louisville, where he retired after 32 years, an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, a life member of the Harley Owners Group and the National Rifle Association, a charter member of Georgetown Baptist Church and a member of Corydon Baptist Church, the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local 681, the American Motorcycle Association, the Kentuckiana Clarksville H.O.G. chapter and the Lincoln Trails Harley Owners Group in Radcliff, Ky., where he also was a road captain and safety officer.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Saundra McCormack; a son, Eric Douglas; and a brother, Gary Douglas.
Survivors include a daughter, Tammy Alcorn (Tim) of Corydon, and three grandchildren, Amelia, Ethan and Thomas Alcorn.
Visitation: Friday, March 2, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Burial: Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Diabetes Association.
