Elizabeth S. Collins
Elizabeth Sue Collins, 79, Depauw, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at her home.
Born Jan. 5, 1939, in Emporia, Kan., she was the daughter of the late Faye and Lula Kennison.
She was a retired office assistant at Ball Homes in Louisville, a member of Palmyra Church of Christ, Sunnyside Solo’s Square Dancing group, Senior Olympics and Silver Toners and participated in the Red Hat Ladies group.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Longfellow Lane; her second husband of 37 years, Ronald Collins; a son, Patrick Cameron Lane; two sisters, Polly Bradbys and Mary Rowan; and three brothers, Tom, Buddy and Bob Kennison.
Survivors include twin daughters, Cindy Lou Lane of Chino Hills, Calif., and Candy Sue Lane of Milltown; a son, Douglas Eugene Lane of Depauw; four grandchildren, Zachary, Ben, Brian and Eric; four great-grandchildren, Star, Lilly and David Knight and Sheridan Lane; a brother, Gerald Kennison of Atwater, Calif.; three sisters, Carol Flynn and Judy Vargas, both of Atwater, and Cathy Kennison of Milltown; and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life: Thursday, Feb. 15, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a gathering, at Palmyra Church of Christ.
