Shawn A. Applegate

Shawn Allen Applegate, 47, Lanesville, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Born May 4, 1970, in New Albany, he was the son of William A. and Sally L. Dimmick Applegate.
He was an engineer for CSX Railroad and active in the American Legion.
Survivors besides his parents include his wife, the former Sherry Lynch; a son, Dalton Applegate of Lanesville; a daughter, Destany Applegate of Lanesville; and two sisters, Sabrina Heavrin of Lanesville and Mythina Crump of Charlestown.
Visitation: Wednesday, Jan. 31, from 2 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 1, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 2, after 10 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, Feb. 2, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
