Edward L. Troncin, 88, New Salisbury, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017.
Born Jan. 4, 1929, at Hopkins, Mo., he was the son of the late Charles Edward and Leona M. Dodds Troncin.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, retired from International Harvester Co. in Louisville and a member of Floyd County VFW Post 232 in New Albany and American Legion in Indianapolis.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Dorothy Jean Gehrig; a brother, Robert Doyle Troncin; and a sister, Helen Chinn.
Survivors include three daughters, Catherine Marie Troncin Brownell of New Salisbury and Linda Gayle Troncin and Jean Ann Troncin Parker (Steve), both of Corydon; three brothers, Norvel and Kenneth Troncin, both of New Salisbury, and Buddy Troncin (Eileen) of Corydon; three sisters, Charlotte Lone (Charles), Vivian Dean (Terry) and Wanda Chinn, all of Corydon; three grandchildren, Jason Baird (Heather) of Scottsburg, Kelly Stevens of New Salisbury and Christopher Harris of Corydon; and two great-grandchildren, Kaori and Arwen Harris of Devils Elbow, Mo.
Visitation: Wednesday, Jan. 3, from 2 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 4, after 9 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Thursday, Jan. 4, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Central Barren Cemetery.
