Phyllis G. Lord
Phyllis G. Lord, 94, formerly of Manhein, Pa., died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017.
Born April 4, 1923, in English, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Lilly May Satterfield Beasley.
She worked as a waitress for the original Dunkin’ Donuts, was a former member of the Farm Women No. 2, Manheim Steigel Roses, Colerain Grange, and of Union Presbyterian Church in Kirkwood.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Lord, in 1989, and three siblings, Charles P. Beasley, Paul Raney Beasley and John Henry Beasley.
Survivors include two daughters, Alana, wife of William P. Neely, of Lancaster, Pa., and Sherry, wife of Harold W. Cassel, of Manheim, Pa.; a foster son, Brian Gentzler of Arizona; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday, Dec. 30, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Wheatland Presbyterian Church in Lancaster, Pa.
Memorial celebration service: Saturday, Dec. 30, at 11 a.m. at the church, with private interment at a later date in Laurel Hill Memory Gardens.
Officiant: Dr. Bruce Mawhinney.
