Josephine E. Lasley
Josephine Elizabeth Lasley, 87, Bedford, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017.
Born Dec. 10, 1930, in Corydon, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Ruby Kiger Hunter.
After living in many places, including Missouri, Kentucky, North Carolina, Arkansas, Germany and Tennessee, while her husband served in the Army, they retired to Indiana in 1969, settling in Bedford. While living in Bedford, Josephine worked at many local businesses including Grants, JC Penney, Delores Fabric Shop and H & R Block and was a member of First United Methodist Church and active in the United Methodist Women group.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harold L. Lasley, on Sept. 11, 2010, and her six older siblings.
Survivors include three children, Harold Joseph (Joe) Lasley of Heltonville, Elizabeth (Pete) Borodach of Bedford and Donald (Don) Lasley of Williams; five grandchildren, Amber Muendel (Jeff), Shelby Lasley (Sara), Andrew Borodach, Sarah Mullis (Josh) and Craig Borodach (Maggie); four great-grandsons, Brandon Borodach, Nick Borodach, Ashton Mullis and Tristan Hatfield; three sisters-in-law, Wanda Lasley of Bedford, Clarabelle Lasley of Corydon and Margie Lasley of Bradford; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Wednesday, Dec. 20, from noon to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 21, after 10 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, Dec. 21, at noon at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
