Betty L. Needham
Betty L. Needham, 82, Corydon, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation Center ‘ Indian Creek in Corydon.
Born Sept. 7, 1935, in Benham, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Jesse L. and Velva Stamper Daugherty.
She was the owner of B&J Upholstery, was employed as an independent contractor with Keller Manufacturing Co. in Corydon where she upholstered seat cushions and was a member of Hursttown United Methodist Church near Corydon.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert E. Needham; two brothers, Bill and Pete Daugherty; and two sisters, Jo Hensley and Juanita Roden.
Survivors include two sons, Ronnie E. Needham (Linda) of Jeffersonville and Allen Needham of Corydon; a brother, Bob Daugherty of Corydon; three grandchildren, Tammy DenBesten (Zack), Kristen Beech (Ben) and Nick Chaplin (Jessica); and two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Brinley DenBesten.
Visitation: Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and Wednesday, Oct. 4, after 11 a.m. at Hursttown United Methodist Church north of Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m. at the church with burial in Hursttown Cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Edith Bleecker.
