Jimmie R. Raines

Jimmie R. Raines, 49, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at Memorial Hospital and Health Services in Jasper.
Born Jan. 15, 1968, in Jamestown, Tenn., he was the son of Carol Amonette Raines of English and the late Willie Raines.
He was a former security officer and of the Baptist faith.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Harley Campbell, and grandparents, Jewel and Arville Amonette and Sam and Ora Raines.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Edna M. Raines of English; a son, James Raines of English; a daughter, Amanda Raines of Marengo; two brothers, William Raines of Paoli and Charles (Lynn) Raines of English; two sisters, Janice (Hope) Ridener of Taswell and Patricia Raines of English; and six grandchildren, Jordan, Jayson and Braxton Raines, Alyssa Holt and Alexis and Koty May Lester.
Visitation: Wednesday, Sept. 20, from noon to 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Milltown.
Funeral: Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with interment in Temple Cemetery near English.
Officiant: The Rev. Philo Jones.
Casket bearers: William Raines, Mike Ridener, Jamie Raines, John Gentry, James Raines and Charles Amonette.
