William T. Duke

William Thomas Duke, 81, Depauw, died Monday, June 12, 2017, at his home.
Born April 28, 1936, in Milltown, he was the son of the late James Ollo and Ella Frances Durham Dukes.
He was a former beef boner at Wenning’s Packing Co., an Army veteran having served during the Korean War and a member of Blue River Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, Milltown American Legion Post No. 332 and DAV.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Diona Lynn Duke; three sisters, Virgina Linne, Carmen Elliott and Dorothy Clark; and two brothers, John and Jerry Dukes.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Lou Reynolds; a son, James Kevin Duke (Donna) of Madison; a daughter, Melissa Jo Edwards (Rick) of Depauw; two brothers, James Dukes of Depauw and Charles (Butch) Dukes of Milltown; three sisters, Roberta Barnwell of Depauw, Norma Bright of Milltown and Lula Mae VanWinkle; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, June 14, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, June 15, after 10 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Milltown.
Funeral: Thursday, June 15, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with interment in Pilot Knob Cemetery near Milltown.
Officiant: Brother Don McCarroll.
