Boyd M. (Buck) Painter, 84, Corydon, died Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
Born Oct. 6, 1932, in Onego, W.Va., he was the son of the late Noah and Ethel Morral Painter.
He was a retired construction worker, a member of VFW Post 1693 in New Albany and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Alta Fay Steward; a grandson, Tanner Hublar; and two brothers, Carl and David Painter.
Survivors include a daughter, Debbie Kessler (Richard) of Corydon; two brothers, Charles Painter of Norfolk, Va., and Paul Painter of Carrollton, Ohio; two sisters, Faye Fishburn of Nashville, Tenn., and Carolyn Painter Williams of Inman, S.C.; two grandchildren, Shawn Hublar and April Missi (Curtis); two great-grandchildren, Charlize Hublar and Brooklyn McCoy; and two great-great-grandchildren, Kayden and Wesson Dorado.
Visitation: Tuesday, May 30, from noon to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, May 31, after 11 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, May 31, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in the Central Barren Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Michael P. Elliott.
