Judith J. Lawson

Judith Jane Lawson, 71, Corydon, died Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany.
She was retired as a registered nurse and a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Elmer and Myrtie VanHuss Lawson, and a sister, Patricia Kay Hamblin.
Survivors include three children, Robert Garland DeWitt (Michelle) of Lavonia and William Allen DeWitt (Kimberly) and Julia Kathleen Fackler (Cory), both of Brandenburg; seven grandchildren, Jason Cole DeWitt, Christopher Michael DeWitt, Taylor Leigh DeWitt, Tori Rae DeWitt, Trenton Allen DeWitt, Cory Austin Fackler and Hayley Ann Fackler; a great-granddaughter, Madelyn DeWitt; and a brother, Robert Elmer Lawson II of Texas.
Visitation: Monday, April 24, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg.
Graveside service: Monday, April 24, at 3 p.m. at the Old Paint Lick Cemetery in Paint Lick, Ky.
Traditional wake: Wednesday, April 26, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the donor’s local animal shelter.
