Duke Energy announces scheduled outage

Some Duke Energy customers who live near S.R. 64 will be without power from midnight to 4 a.m. so the utility can change out a transmission pole.
Those who will be affected are receiving notifications today and include customers in Milltown, Depauw, Marengo, Fredericksburg and Hardinsburg.
Persons who rely on electrical-powered medical equipment will need to make other arrangements during this outage. In addition, security and alarm systems, as well as electric garage door openers, will not operate during the outage.
For more information, call 1-800-521-2232.
In case Duke Energy is unable to perform the planned outage safely, the company will reschedule the work for Wednesday, April 26, from midnight to 4 p.m.
